Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of products from Ayrshire Flooring through our website. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a purchase.

Orders

All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance and availability.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation. This does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where necessary.

Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure pricing is accurate, we reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel any order placed using an incorrect price.

Product Information

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images and specifications are accurate.

However:

  • Colours may vary depending on your screen settings.
  • Natural wood products may contain variations in grain, texture and colour.
  • Samples should be viewed as a guide only.
  • Dimensions and specifications are subject to manufacturer tolerances.

Measuring & Ordering

Customers are responsible for ensuring all measurements are accurate before placing an order.

We recommend allowing an additional 5–10% for cutting and wastage.

If you are unsure how much flooring is required, please contact our team before ordering.

Delivery

We currently deliver throughout Ayrshire and surrounding areas.

Typical delivery times are 10–14 working days, although these may vary depending on supplier availability.

Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

Customers must ensure someone is available to accept delivery where required.

Please inspect all goods upon delivery.

Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Photographs may be requested to assist with assessing the issue.

Do not install any flooring before checking it.

We cannot accept liability for flooring that has been fitted where defects were visible beforehand.

Returns

We are sure you will love your Flooring product, but in the unlikely situation you wish to return your goods, we operate under a 30 day returns policy. 

 

When returning your goods, please provide a letter detailing your name, order reference (return reference) and date, with a brief overview of why you are returning your product. This helps us process your return as efficiently as possible. 

 

Returned items must:

  • Be unused.
  • Be in their original packaging.
  • Be in a resaleable condition.
  • Not have been fitted, cut or altered.

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Cut-to-size carpet
  • Cut-to-size vinyl
  • Made-to-order products
  • Opened packs of laminate, LVT or wood flooring
  • Individual planks or boards
  • Products that have been fitted or installed

Return Costs

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning unwanted goods.

Returned goods remain the customer's responsibility until safely received by Ayrshire Flooring.

Collection Charges

The following collection charges apply to non-faulty returns:

  • Accessories or up to 4 packs of flooring: £24.95 collection fee plus a 25% restocking charge based on the value of the returned goods.
  • 5 or more packs of flooring: £39.95 collection fee plus a 25% restocking charge based on the value of the returned goods.
  • Made-to-measure products (including carpets and cut-to-size vinyl): These products are manufactured specifically to your order and are non-returnable unless they are faulty or supplied incorrectly.

 

If you would prefer to arrange your own return, you are welcome to do so. Please note that all return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and a 25% restocking charge will still apply to accepted returns.

Refunds

Refunds will only be processed once returned goods have been received and inspected.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 working days.

Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless goods were supplied incorrectly or are confirmed as faulty.

Fitters & Flooring Installation (Important)

 

WHILE AS A FLOORING SUPPLIER WE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ASSIST IN THE SOURCING & FINDING LOCAL FITTERS THEY ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED & OPERATED. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THERE PRICING OR AVAILABILITY. CUSTOMERS ARE STRICTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING OR DECIDING ON FITTING SERVICES. ALL QUERIES REGARDING YOUR FITTING SHOULD BE DISCUSSED DIRECTLY WITH YOUR CHOSEN FITTER.

 

Customers must inspect flooring before installation.

Installation of any product confirms acceptance of:

  • Colour
  • Finish
  • Size
  • Quality
  • Quantity

We cannot accept claims once products have been fitted where defects would have been visible beforehand.

Product Variations

Many flooring products are manufactured using natural materials.

Minor differences in:

  • Shade
  • Pattern
  • Texture
  • Grain
  • Finish

are normal and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Samples

Samples are intended as a guide only.

Batch variations between samples and supplied products may occur.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.

We are not responsible for:

  • Loss of earnings
  • Delays caused by manufacturers
  • Delays caused by couriers
  • Incorrect measurements supplied by customers
  • Installation costs arising from damaged or incorrect products being fitted before inspection

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to fulfil obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier delays, severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action or other unforeseen circumstances.

Privacy

Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
